TV mounting in Westlake, TX
Westlake homes were built decades ago and remodeled to look like they weren't. The walls remember, even when the finishes don't.
West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Rob Roy, Davenport Ranch: this is the oldest luxury housing stock we serve, and the remodels hide it well. Which is exactly the problem. A wall that reads as clean modern plaster is often 1980s framing with new skim coats, stone veneer over old brick, or a chase that's been reworked twice. We probe before we drill, because the finish and the structure stopped matching in 1994.
The design bar out here is the other reality. These are decorator-finished rooms, and the install has to disappear: no visible cable, no off-center compromise, hardware chosen to sit flush against whatever the wall turned out to be. It's Frame TV territory, and it's where our habit of planning the One Connect box placement before the first hole earns its keep.
Remodels also mean the AV gets layered onto older infrastructure. Half our Westlake calls include untangling a previous installer's work: racks that grew organically for twenty years, speaker runs nobody documented. We leave it labeled.
Westlake is fifteen minutes from home base. Same-day happens more than you'd think.
Who mounts TVs in remodeled Westlake homes without wrecking the finish?
Zilker AV probes Westlake walls before drilling, because remodeled 80s and 90s homes hide old framing and veneer behind new finishes. The install standard is decorator-grade: flush hardware, no visible cable, from $99.
Westlake installs price like the walls demand: $99 where the drywall is honest, $179 where the stone veneer starts, and the invisible-cable standard assumed on every job.

Questions
Straight answers
My wall looks like plaster but the house is from 1988. What is it?
Probably skim-coated drywall or plaster over old framing, and the honest answer is we verify before drilling. Westlake remodels routinely hide three eras of construction in one wall.
Can you keep the install invisible in a decorated room?
That's the Westlake baseline. Flush mounts, concealed cable, hardware matched to the wall. If a cord would show, we route it or we tell you why the wall won't allow it.
Can you clean up the rack the last installer left?
Gladly. Re-racking and labeling twenty years of accumulated gear is some of our favorite work, and Westlake has the best examples.
Is stone veneer mounted like real stone?
Carefully, and differently. Veneer can't carry what full-depth stone carries, so anchors reach through to structure. We've done both enough to know which one your wall is.
Designer room, decades-old wall?
Tell us the room's history if you know it. We'll figure out the rest before drilling.
